She Reads Everything

I love books. Just staring at my bookshelves gives me a sense of peace. Rather than any specific genre, I love good books. To me a good book is one that at the end leaves me happier and/or smarter.

A Local Habitation (October Daye, Book 2)

A Local Habitation - Seanan McGuire While I don't really like the stories of the October Daye books - I'm not a big fan of mysteries - I do love some of McGuire's characters, especially anyone who's a Cait Sidhe, the king of the Cait Sidhe, or just a regular cat. This author is a serious cat person, which I love seeing in a book that's not about how Fluffykins solved the mystery of the rhubarb muffins or something. I also really like October herself, but definitely more when she's acting like a regular person (okay, fae) and not like a very nervous sleuth (with a seriously bad record so far).
